Evaluation for voiceover

The Evaluation

For a workshop that we got given to do is we had to record a voice over for a scene of a TV show to change the tone and message of that music. The scene that we choose to do was from Friends where it was Thanks giving and all of Rachels friends were around the table and she was talking to her friend Ross and her enemy Will, they were talking about the "I hate Rachel Club". What went well was when we edited it on the scene it fit perfectly into the silent gaps which we were really proud off, however i fell like we could've said more as it wasn't that much, when we listened to the voice over it was a bit fast so we had to slow down and it was also a bit echoey so we edited that to make it sound good and real. We wanted the mood and meaning to change as it was kind of a dry atmosphere so we added strong words to make there attitudes towards the two characters different and wanted the atmosphere to feel strong and tense. We wanted to make it like they were going to have a full on fight and start shouting at each other. We did find it hard to export it because at first we couldn't find the file that was on the computer from my phone so that took longer than the actual editing did. We used GarageBand which i found was really easy to use as its simple and straight forward. Overall we did what we were intending to do and it was create more of a tense moment within this part of the scene wasn't that really interesting
