Evaluation: Adding Music into a scene

For a workshop that we got given to do is we had to create a different kind of mood for a scene. the scene i choose to do was Jurassic park, the car ride to the dinosaurs. i had to get a scene where the music was cut out and put my own music where i had to get it off youtube to create a different meaning and mood. The song i picked was Perfect by ed sheeran, this song had to be instrumental because i didn't want to have lyrics over the clip as i wanted to see how it could affect the mood and change the meaning. We used GarageBand which i found was really easy to use as its simple and straight forward. To make sure that the music as at the same time as where i wanted it to be i had to drag the music towards where i wanted it and i had to cut some of the video out to make it shorter and easier for me to add the music. Overall i did what i were intending to do and it was create more of a sad moment within this part of the movie because the movie was quite tense and it looked like a "wow" so i thought i would make it less tense and more sad to change it completely.

Evaluation Part 2: Creating music

For this workshop i had to create my own music for the same scene as last time. i went through loads of different instruments until i found the one that i liked and wanted. the one that i chose to use was Ambient Synth Piano. the reason i chose this was because it flowed really well with the scene and how the atmosphere was presented. in order to do this  had to mute the original clip and i dragged the music that i made under the clip. at first it didn't work as i couldn't hear the sound do i had to redo it until i could hear it and eventually i did. i re watched it to see if it sounded alright and it did so i was really proud.

Evaluation for Dubbing

The Evaluation For a workshop that we got given to do is we had to record a voice over for a scene of a movie to change the tone and message of that music. The scene that we choose to do was from mean girls where they were in the canteen talking to the new girl. Me and my partner choose to do this as it was easy to think of what they would say and they hardly spoke in that scene. what went well was when we edited it on the scene it fit perfectly into the silent gaps which we were really proud off, however i fell like we could've said more as it wasn't that much, when we listened to the voice over it was a bit fast so we had to slow down and it was also a bit echoey so we edited that to make it sound good and real. We wanted the mood and meaning to change as it was a bit sad so we added strong words to make there attitudes towards the two characters different and wanted the atmosphere to feel strong and tense.
